Despite inclement weather, classes and activities will continue as scheduled for Thursday, Feb. 6, while university officials monitor weather conditions.

According to an official USC Aiken email, “there is the potential for severe weather conditions in our region late Thursday.”

Director of News and Information Leslie Hull-Ryde said that USCA does not follow the same system as Aiken County Public Schools.

“We take the lead from the county government offices,” she wrote.

As a flash flood warning has been issued by the South Carolina National Weather Service, university officials have advised students to use their best judgments when traveling.

Additional updates on the university’s schedule and weather conditions will be available on the USCA website.
