Spooky Date Night: Kreepy Hollow

Spooky Date Night: Kreepy Hollow

October is full of fun date nights from pumpkin patches to scary movies. If you are looking for a fun and unique night out, check out Kreepy Hollow!

Kreepy Hollow is located at 1251 Joe Dority Rd, Bishopville, SC. They are open Fridays and Saturdays: 7:30 p.m.- 12:30 a.m. and Thursdays and Sundays: 7:30 p.m.- 10:30 p.m. Tickets are $25 on most days, but $30 on Saturdays. Fast Pass prices are $45.50 on most days and $50 on Saturdays.

The general admission tickets are a great price for the event, but depending on how busy, you could end up waiting in line for a very long time. If you have the extra money on a busy night, I recommend the fast pass tickets just because the line times are exponentially shorter. I have only ever done the general admission tickets. The first year the lines were not too long. This time around the initial line was about a two-hour wait, due to the growing popularity of this horror attraction. Even though two hours feels like a long time, it is not too bad if you go with a group of friends.

The first attraction is a bus ride. You fill up onto a school bus, rock music gets blared and you zoom off super fast down a dirt road. Eventually, various “monsters” jump onto the bus and try to scare everyone. This experience is probably the shortest, but also one of my favorites.

Then you are dropped off at a two-story haunted house. You walk through the various themed rooms and pass many actors who will chase you around if you appear scared. The haunted house if fun, but my least favorite part of the attraction due to it falling a little flat.

The last attraction is the best and the longest part of the night. You pile onto a hayride and go around a two-mile loop. Through this loop, there are various themed stops. Some of these stops have a lot of character interaction, but others are more “play” like.

For only $30, I think that Kreepy Hollow is well worth the trek out to Bishopville. The experience is one of the best I have had at a halloween attraction so far.

Dress warm, wear comfortable shoes and have fun!
