Women and Men's Basketball teams reign supreme on Saturday

Early Saturday afternoon our women’s basketball team started the game fighting hard against their highly ranked opposers, the Nighthawks.

Initially, the North Georgia women held a 2 point lead (26-24) over our Pacers at halftime.

However, our trusted scoring trio from Wednesday came back again in the second half with #11 Melyk Taouil getting 16 points, #2 Alexis Mack getting 15 points, and #41 Kwajelin Farrar with 10 points.

Our women finished up the game in a high scoring shootout to win an impressive game over the Nighthawks, scoring 55 to 51.

The men’s team grasped on to that energy from our girl’s game to reign over the Nighthawks the entire first half.

In the second half, the opposition trudged back close to our Pacers, making it a physical game between the two.

There were at least 18 called fouls between the two, allowing the Nighthawks to get ahead by 3 points.

But our highest scorer, #2 Faison Brock (27 points), didn’t let that stay for long with the help of #11 Gus Rowland (19 points) and #12 Shaquan Jules (14 points).

Dhieu Deing, #23, got us a wonderful running dunk to secure our win at 83 points against 76.

Our Pacers all in all had great wins and are looking forward to playing at Lander on the Francis Marion on the 5th!
