Party games to liven up your winter solstice

Party games to liven up your winter solstice

It’s finally that time of year. The semester is ending and it's time to kick back, relax and throw some parties! Instead of the regular board (bored) games, here is a list of some games to play at your next holiday party:

  1. White Elephant: This is a game where all participants bring a random gift, a money limit can be set if needed, and players draw a number to see what gift they receive. Throughout the game, players can “steal” gifts they want. After two turns of “stealing,” the present is then locked into place.

  2. Candy Cane Hooks: Place a large bowl of candy canes in the middle of a table. Players will then take a candy cane into their mouth and try to hook as many candy canes as they can in 30 seconds.

  3. Reindeer Antlers: Each player will be given a pair of sheer pantyhose. Set a bunch of empty balloons in the middle of the group where everyone can reach them. The goal is to blow up the balloons and stuff them into the pantyhose in order to make antlers. The fastest reindeer wins.

  4. Wrap the Present: Partners of two will share a very large shirt together. With one arm apiece, they will wrap a present and put a bow on it. Whoever wraps the best looking present in a minute wins.
