Topics to avoid at Thanksgiving dinner

Topics to avoid at Thanksgiving dinner

Thanksgiving is a time of year for people to get together and be thankful for the things and the people they have in their lives. However, there are certain dinner table topics that should only be discussed when grandma goes to take her three p.m. nap. Here are some things that should be avoided when stuffing your face full of Turkey:

  • Maybe grandma left her teeth on the bathroom counter, it’s fine! Push those soggy bad boys to the side and wash your hands quickly.

  • Sometimes the potato salad sucks, okay? Just be thankful that someone at least attempted to bring some food, unlike your cousin, who quickly makes a plate to go and dashes out the door.

  • We don’t talk about our overly affectionate uncle who gives too long of hugs.

  • Look, maybe you’re on your third plate, but at least you aren’t like that one aunt, who happens to be on her third husband.

  • We all know there are going to be some kids that are not well-behaved. Wait until their mom has left the room to talk smack.
