SGA Reception for Eventing Team

In May of this year, the USC Aiken Eventing Team brought home the title at the USEA Intercollegiate Championship. Prior to their win, this had never been done before, making this University history. 

The Student Government Association (SGA) held a brief reception congratulating the Eventing Team on their accomplishment on Sept. 6, 2023. At the end, they unveiled a banner as a celebratory reminder that their hard work did not go unnoticed. 

“It’s incredibly meaningful, were a small team competing against people that were very experienced, had won before, much larger teams [University of Kentucky, Auburn University, Clemson University]. We were intimidated by this and was a big deal to us because it proved that anything could make this happen” -Carson Langenberg on the importance of the win to their team

Upcoming plans for the team will include going back to championships next year and hopefully being able to send two teams. They also plan on attending Oktoberfest in the fall.
