TV Show Recommendation: Guillermo del Toro’s Cabinet of Curiosities

Possible spoilers ahead.

I’m a big fan of horror shows, especially ones that have different situations in each episode. This is really because I occasionally skip episodes if they’re boring but in shows like this skipping an episode has no impact. A couple of my favorites are Two Sentence Horror Stories, American Horror Stories and as of late Cabinet of Curiosities.

In this show, each episode is based on a short story, every one completely different from the next. They range from witches who curse objects to magic lotion that peels your skin to create a more beautiful you and the only commonality is death.

It took me about a day and a half to binge watch and I enjoyed every episode. Out of all eight episodes, I can say that my least favorite was “Pickman’s Model”. This episode revolves around art, more specifically a demonic painting that curses anyone that sees it. While it is a good concept it just want interesting to watch.

My favorite episode was “Dreams in the Witch House”. In this episode, there is a set of twins, one of them passes and the other is determined to bring her back. Only he decides to use the help of a medium to do so and this comes with terrible consequences.
