Dorm Dash: Chinese Chive Pancakes

Are you interested in expanding your culinary skills but want to try something easy? Looking for something new to try out in your dorm? These chinese chive pancakes are amazing as a snack or an appetizer!

Ingredients:

-1 bunch chives, clean, trim the ends and cut into 1-inch long strips

-1 cup flour

-1 cup water

-2 eggs

-½ teaspoon salt

-1 tablespoon oil

-2 tablespoons soy sauce for dipping

Directions:

  1. Mix the flour, eggs and water into a batter.

  2. Add the sliced chives to the batter and mix.

  3. Heat a pan to medium heat with an even spread of oil.

  4. Portion out about 1/3 of the batter into the heated pan.

  5. Pan fry each side for about 5 minutes or until desired crispness.

  6. Let cool and enjoy with soy sauce or any condiment!
