Organization of the Week: CHAARG

Organization of the Week: CHAARG

The new organization CHAARG hopes to bring Pacer women together with fitness.

The goal of this national organization is to build an empowering wellness community throughout colleges and universities. One of the USCA chapter founders, Sofia Ferreria, stated that they brought Chaarg to this campus was because she felt the school needed a female-centered fitness group to bring more women into the gym.

“I was looking for a group of girls to workout and learn with that would make exercise fun!” Ferreria said.

On top of their weekly meetings every Wednesday at 7 p.m., this organization hosts events throughout the semester for its members that range from fun group workouts to social gatherings.

“My favorite event/workout we’ve done has been our dance event!” Ferreria said. “We invited the dance team to come down and teach us some choreo, and it was so much fun! And now I have some great dance moves to bust out.”
