Organization of the Week: Broken Ink

The organization of the week goes to Broken Ink.

As stated on the USC Aiken website, Broken Ink (a.k.a. BI) is a student-produced visual and literary arts magazine that has showcased the creativity of USC Aiken students since 1971. They strive to accurately and objectively feature students' literary and artistic achievements and raise awareness of the literary and visual arts throughout the campus community.

Paige Singer, the Editor-in-Chief, has been a part of BI since the fall of 2020. When asked to describe the organization in three words, she said “creative, welcoming and fun.”

BI doesn’t just publish students’ work, they also host events throughout the year to stay involved on campus.

“My favorite experience was the S’more Stories event we put on last year with the Writing Center,” Singer said. “It had such a great turnout that we’ve decided to make it an annual event.”

If interested in attending the annual s’more stories event, it will be held on Oct. 26, 2022, at 6 p.m. in Penland’s courtyard. For more information about BI, here’s their website
