USC Aiken continues annual "No Shave November"

USC Aiken continues annual "No Shave November"

This November, USCA campus will be participating in No Shave November during which students grow out their facial hair for the entire month to raise awareness for prostate cancer.

To participate in No Shave November, send before and after pictures of you and your facial hair to uscastudentlife@usca.edu. The first picture has to be sent in on November 1, with the second photo being sent in on November 30th to show the facial hair growth.

All participants will be judged and have the opportunity to win prizes for biggest beard, best beard and worst beard.

Participants will be able to groom and trim their facial hair as needed, but if the facial hair is shaved, a $10 donation must be made to the American Cancer Society through the Student Life Office.

Prostate Cancer is the second most common cancer in men. The prostate is a small gland, only found in men, that produces seminal fluids. Treatment is usually successful, but there are certain risks that increase the chances of developing this cancer, although there are no sure ways to prevent it.

Throughout November, prostate cancer information will be sent out to the students, as well as No Shave November updates.
