Feature: Jeffrey McDow, the life of Student Life

Meme catologue looking sparse? Look no further, Jeffrey McDow, junior business administration major, has you covered with swaths of humorous and inspirational posts on the USC Aiken Student Life page.

His posts brighten up the page and stand out to other students. His inspiration, he described, comes from his grandfather.

“He knew how to make the world a little better. I try to replicate that when I am posting something to USCA’s student Facebook page,” said McDow.

McDow is appreciative of all of USC Aiken’s staff and faculty.

His favorite thing about USCA is “the friendly faculty that goes above and beyond to help students. Professors like Michael Murphy and Rebecca Barnwell have helped me through different challenges and celebrated my successes,” he said. “I also enjoy how hard the landscaping crew works to keep everything looking great.”

Post-graduation, McDow is hoping to leave the state and pursue his career.

“After university, I plan to move to New York, New York and start a career at Citibank. I am interested in purchasing property and passive income sources for long-term financial security.”

McDow wants his fellow students to know that their contributions to the lives of others are important even if they are not noticed.

“Not all honorable people are honored. An otherwise unrecognized person may be an amazing hero to their family and friends,” he said. “Even if nobody is there to thank you, keep working hard for yourself and your family.”
