USCA Monday was created by the Student Government Association to increase school spirit.

Student body president, Brandon Eberl and student body secretary, Q’Ladrin Quorters reported that SGA would like to increase school spirit.

The Student Government Association (SGA) is an organization that allows students to voice opinions on campus. Through networking with staff and faculty, they make changes. For example, they recently added 16 gender neutral bathrooms to accommodate the growing number of students who identify as gender non-conforming.

On USCA Mondays, students are encouraged to wear official USCA apparel or just red and navy blue. Eberl said they would like to “up school spirit” and Quorters suggested that “it will evoke more pride of where you are”. SGA confirmed that there will be regular reminders of the weekly event on the Student Life Facebook page. The two even hinted that SGA may have giveaways if enough school spirit is shown within the next few weeks.

Be sure to stop by the SGA office across from Student life for more information.
