The Eras Tour: My Experience

The Eras Tour: My Experience

After six hours of waiting through the tedious line of Ticket Master, my friends and I were able to secure four tickets to the Taylor Swift Eras Tour.

On Apr. 30, 2023, I attended the Taylor Swift Eras Tour in Atlanta, GA. This was an extremely anticipated event for me because I have grown up listening to Taylor Swift. I was thrilled to experience every era of Taylor’s music.
As an avid music lover, I have attended many concerts in the past, but nothing will compare to this concert. Taylor is truly a performer and puts on a spectacular non-stop show.

The concert was visually beautiful from set design to lighting. Every era had new set pieces, unique lighting and costume changes. Because of all of the large screens, lighting and theatrical elements involved in the concert, there truly was no bad seat in the arena.

Everyone got a light-up bracelet upon entering the arena, which allowed for special lighting effects throughout the entire crowd.

I had a middle bowl seat, which allowed me to see Taylor, all of the screens and the designs that played through the crowd.

The stage was also long, which made getting a view of Taylor easier as she was constantly moving around. There were many large screens as well that either showed close-ups of what was occurring on stage or videos that went along with the song.

The backup dancers did a wonderful job and added to the theatrical show that Taylor put on.

Taylor performed for three and a half hours with absolutely no breaks, which is impressive in itself.

Taylor also includes two surprise songs at every show during her acoustic set, which keeps an exciting element of surprise to the show. My surprise songs were “I Bet You Think About Me” from the album “Red” and “How You Get the Girl” from “1989”.

Fans were also trading friendship bracelets that corresponded with different albums and songs, which added a fun component to the overall experience.

Although the wait to acquire tickets was brutal and a bit pricey, the show was worth it.

Overall, the show was absolutely phenomenal!

“So make the friendship bracelets. Take the moment and taste it.”
