USC Aiken ranked in the top three for Public Regional College in the South

USC Aiken was ranked in the top three for Public Regional College in the South by U.S. News and World Report for the 24th year in a row.

The college has placed first 15 of these times. According to an email sent to the student body, the university also earned rank in the following categories: Best Value Schools, Top Performers on Social Mobility, Top Public Schools, Business Programs, Best Undergraduate Engineering Programs, and Nursing.

According to U.S. News, the school is ranked on a number of factors that are weighted differently, including graduation and retention rate, social mobility, and faculty-student ratios.

“These rankings once again testify to the outstanding education offered at UofSC Aiken made possible by the dedicated commitment of our talented faculty and staff,” said chancellor Dr. Dan Heimmermann in the announcement email.

USC Aiken celebrated the university’s 60th anniversary on Sept. 10.
